The Bangor Public Library is home to a Local History Department. Resources that are available to you in person include:
- Information on Bangor, the Penobscot Valley, the State of Maine, and New England
- Genealogical resources and historical references
- Rare books on various topics
- Photographs and archival collections that preserve Bangor's history for future generations
We are located on the Second Floor and we are staffed Monday – Friday 10 am – 5 pm.
