About the Artist
Animals and landscapes are approached not as static representations, but as living presences, rendered through heightened color and rhythmic mark-making. Saturated hues, shifting patterns, and layered textures create a sense of movement and atmosphere, encouraging the viewer to experience the painting’s subject matter emotionally as well as visually. Each work balances areas of visual intensity with a quieter space – allowing an interplay between bold visual narrative and reflective stillness. Rather than seeking literal realism, the paintings aim to capture a sense of attention, connection, and recognition within the natural world.

While not formally trained in art, Nadine Bos has been painting and crafting since she was 3 years old. She began watercolor lessons at the age of 10 and primarily focused on landscapes. She attended John Bapst High School where she was actively involved in art courses and art club and explored many mediums. This exploration led to her love of acrylics which was showcased in her AP art concentration which consisted of a series of brightly colored and textured cow portraits. Her whimsical cow portraits have morphed into more mixed media/textured works of animal portraits and surrealism.
