Test Proctoring
Bangor Public Library offers limited, free, proctoring services for electronic or paper exams that do not exceed two hours. We offer the service on Thursday mornings starting 10am-12pm in the first floor computer lab, subject to the staff availability. The computer lab comfortably holds up to six test takers at a time and there may be another student in the room with you. You may bring your own laptop or use one of ours.
Once you sign up, the proctor will reach out to confirm the appointment and arrange to complete any necessary paperwork with the testing institution. Your appointment isn’t confirmed until you receive an email from the proctor. If your preferred Thursday is unavailable on the appointment calendar, please reach out to meg.gray@bangorpubliclibrary.
Test-taker’s Responsibilities
- It is the test-taker’s responsibility to coordinate the transfer of the exam from the testing institution to the library and to verify that the exam has been received by the library.
- It is the test-taker’s responsibility to schedule the exam. Exams shall not last longer than two hours.
- The test-taker is required to come prepared with necessary supplies, including photo ID, to take the exam.
- Proctors shall enforce any time restrictions placed on the exam and follow other reasonable rules set forth in the exam materials. Should the test-taker be caught cheating, the issuing institution will be notified.
The Library shall not be responsible for tests that are interrupted by library emergencies, power failures and/or computer hardware and/or software failures.
